Wayne was appointed Manager, Bushfire Section in 2003. Wayne has in excess of 10 years experience in both practical and theoretical terms within the sphere of bushfire hazard assessment, application of bushfire mitigation measures and large-scale operational control of bushfires serving as an Officer of the NSW Rural Fire Service. Wayne has credentials in analytical chemistry and has further experience in production machinery, staff training and fluid hydraulics.

Wayne has completed a course of ‘Middle Management Development’ from the University of NSW and was also best graduating student for Certificate IV in Fire Technology 2005 (with Distinction)
Wayne has recently completed the ‘Graduate Diploma in Design in Bushfire Prone Areas’ at the University of Western Sydney and is now a Student Member of the Institute of Fire Engineering.

The majority of Wayne’s role includes staff quality control; this involves ensuring the accuracy of Bushfire Hazard Assessment Reports and to both monitor and mentor the rest of the company team.
